Cornell Mineral Physics
Laboratory
Welcome to the home page of the High Pressure-Temperture Mineral Physics Laboratory!
We are physically located in 4154, Snee Hall. Click here for a campus
map.
What we are doing
We use the Diamond-Anvil Cell (DAC) to study the physical
properties and chemical reactions of minerals under high pressures up to megabars
(millions of atmospheric pressure) and high temperatures up to thousands of degrees
celsius. Intense X-ray avaiable at CHESS.
